The La Sportiva Trango Alp GTX is a high performance multiple use boot for mountain terrain. It offers versatility as it will accept a semi-auto crampon, whilst being rigid enough for climbing and scrambling. It is comfortable to walk in and has enough support to deal with long distance load carrying.
These boots will perform on big alpine routes or Via ferrata . They are possibly the ideal boots for a summer ascent of Mont Blanc!
The Trango Alp Gtx are perfectly suited to high level trekking, one of the Alta Via or a GR route. The Goretex lining means you are protected in snow, ice and rain.
It is the Vibram sole unit that really differentiates the Alp from the rest of the Trango range. It offers improved cushioning and grip when walking and the deeper tread is better suited to walking over rough, mountain terrain. The Vibram sole provides more grip on wet and loose surfaces than other boots in the Trango range, which are more climbing inspired. The sole incorporates Impact Brake System technology which absorbs whilst providing improved traction. It helps secures the foot whilst braking on any ground.
The Trango Alp's upper is a combination of leather and synthetic materials providing high levels of durability,comfort and breathability. The 3D Flex System with multidirectional joint also offers great ankle support whilst maintaining mobility. Note the ankle cuff is also slightly higher than the Trango S Evo!
